Call for Community Artifacts — Anicinabe Mikana Cultural Centre Exhibit

The Anicinabe Mikana Cultural Centre is being created to celebrate, preserve, and share the stories, history, and living culture of our community. As we prepare future exhibits, we are inviting community members to help bring this space to life.

We are looking for artifacts and items that reflect our history, traditional ways of life, and community experiences. If you or your family have items you would like to share or donate for inclusion in the Cultural Centre exhibit, we would be honoured to hear from you.

Examples of items we are looking for include:

  • Birch bark baskets

  • Old railway artifacts

  • Hunting equipment

  • Trapping tools and materials

  • Traditional or historical items connected to community life

Items may be shared on loan or donated, depending on your preference. Every contribution helps preserve and pass knowledge on to future generations.
